Longwood Gardens

If you're ever in the Philadelphia area, it's worth the drive to Longwood Gardens. Located near Kennett Square, PA, this beautiful property was purchased by Pierre du Pont in the early 1900's. Karen and I spent a few hours wandering the beautiful grounds, enjoying all of the interesting foliage. The conservatory is full of very unusual plants. The water lily gardens are exquisite, along with the orchid room, fountains and the special exhibit of gourds, celebrating the colors of autumn.
