Tornado Hits Kansas City.......NOT!!!
...... but it has been a whirlwind of events the last couple of days!! My brain is on overload from all the lectures and demonstrations, art exhibits and wearable art shows!
Yesterday we attended lectures in the morning, then headed to the crossroads section of downtown, where there were several art exhibits. The weather was hot and humid, and the rain held off until we got to Lidia's, an Italian restaurant, where we had a wonderful dinner. We ended the day at the Belcher Gallery for a couple more exhibits and a vendor's fair. There were great pieces of art, along with some photo shoot opportunities on our walk between galleries.
This gate caught my eye, and I couldn't help taking a picture of it!
Denise and Roxane are about to enter Unit 5, one of the galleries included in the gallery walk.
This is what the sky looked liked at the end of the day. There was a serious thunderstorm during the night, but we woke up to a very nice day!
Today was another full day. We attended lectures most of the day, before viewing a fabulous wearable art fashion show this evening. The clothing was designed and made by members of the Surface Design Association, and what a show it was!
