Home from Colorado

After being home from Kansas City for a couple of weeks, my husband and I headed to Grand Junction, Colorado, where we have purchased a home. We plan to spend some time there during the winter months. It's an old house, but has been totally renovated. We spent the week getting a few furnishings for it, so it's now livable! We both fell in love with the Grand Junction area, and are looking forward to spending more time there.

Although the temperatures reached 100* every day we were there, we managed to take a hike or two, and did a lot of exploring around the area.

One evening, we walked from our house to the heart of downtown, where a Farmer's Market was in progress. The street was full of vendors, selling everything from arts & crafts to fresh produce, along with some bands to entertain the crowds. We ate at a great little pizza joint, called Pablo's Pizza. Fabulous pizza! We enjoyed viewing the art, which adorns almost every corner of downtown! What a great idea!

We're back home in Alaska for awhile now. We'll be spending some time up at the lake, working on the cabin and doing a little fishing. Check back later for some pictures from the next adventure!
